THE FLIGHT

Have you ever found yourself wishing that you had wings?

The pair of wings which would help you fly the sky, and help you soar through the clouds, or just the kind of wings which you can only hope would help you escape.

If you have ever wished for such a pair of wings, then have you ever imagined a flight?

The flight where you would take off from just anywhere and find yourself up in the blue sky, the cold wind caressing your face and brushing through your hair. The kind of flight where you could touch whatever lies beyond the clouds and see beyond the blue of the sky, or a the kind of flight which is just for freedom.

Have you ever had a flight of the mind?

If you have wished and imagined your flight, you will have known that the flight of the wings is a controlled flight where your wings may tire or the sky might end!
But, the flight of the mind is a true flight with no wings to tire and no feathers to shed, just like there is no limit to the sky and you may fly as high as you like.

So, wish - imagine - and FLY!

TWO LIVES IN ONE

There are two lives I live in one. Not once but many times. Do you?

Have you ever found yourself sitting at home and maybe drinking coffee, finishing off an assignment, reading or just staring in the blank space … and thinking that the phone might ring and indulge you in the most interesting conversation ever? Or the door bell might ring and someone you want to see (or not for that matter!) might be waiting there when you open it.

Yes, all of this while you are just sipping your coffee, penning your assignment, reading, or just staring into the blank space.
Yet, soon awakening you when you start to realize what a pleasant (or again, unpleasant for that matter) detour your mind took off to, often leaving you with a peculiar smile.

I have something for the similar kinds of you and me.

There are two lives that I live in one - two worlds at a time. One:  of stark reality
And
Other: of pure fascination. One: showing ‘what is’And
Other:  telling ‘what could be’And I find myself slowly melting intoThe magic of my imagination and the beauty of reality.

FALSE IMAGINATION

I feel that false imagination is like fog. It is very beautiful to look at and feel. It engulfs you inside its moist, soft, cool yet warm self. Also creating beautiful and magical environments to be in which make you inhale more – smile more.

But, the fog disappears eventually with the very first rays of the morning sun – new and fresh, soft and bright. Slowly unveiling the real world – sharp, clear, and crisp – ready to be touched, felt, and lived in. This colourful world which was sleeping under the grey mattress of false imagination for a while.

Similarly, our real world – the actions, capabilities, hopes and dreams – which makes our real self often lies dormant under the blanket of false imaginations. Imaginations of what the world  or we might be. Imaginations of how we could reach out to the world wherein lie our dreams, our hopes.

Yet, as always the sun will rise. Spread its rays. Open our minds. Show us the real world – the real us.

Just as soon as we decide to wake up!
