ENDURANCE

We face many different situations in life every day. They may be good, bad, and sometimes really ugly. They mould us, bend us, break us - but, eventually they pass and leave us with something that we learnt or experienced. Something called – a change.

We are taught to stand up and fight, and also sometimes to back off and move on. All in all we are taught to endure. Endure the situation, the pain, the happiness, and above all endure whatever lies within us, may it be joy, fear, guilt, hatred or anything else. Endurance makes us strong, independent, and responsible. It helps us find out who we are meant to be.

But, does asking for help or taking support make us weak and dependent?
Maybe. Maybe not.

During the peak of summer, little extra water provides the plant with the only element it needs to make food and energy to survive. Similarly, a few kind words (or some bitter ones) do not make us weak. They make us strong enough to survive the situation. They help us endure and leave us with what is called – a change!

Endure. Survive. Change.

FALSE IMAGINATION

I feel that false imagination is like fog. It is very beautiful to look at and feel. It engulfs you inside its moist, soft, cool yet warm self. Also creating beautiful and magical environments to be in which make you inhale more – smile more.

But, the fog disappears eventually with the very first rays of the morning sun – new and fresh, soft and bright. Slowly unveiling the real world – sharp, clear, and crisp – ready to be touched, felt, and lived in. This colourful world which was sleeping under the grey mattress of false imagination for a while.

Similarly, our real world – the actions, capabilities, hopes and dreams – which makes our real self often lies dormant under the blanket of false imaginations. Imaginations of what the world  or we might be. Imaginations of how we could reach out to the world wherein lie our dreams, our hopes.

Yet, as always the sun will rise. Spread its rays. Open our minds. Show us the real world – the real us.

Just as soon as we decide to wake up!

BREAKING BARRIERS

Somehow the human mind tends to function around boundaries - it eats, sleeps, and lives boundaries. As I see, without the existence of boundaries – there would be no existence of a sense of freedom. It is only the barrier which makes us think and dream of - what lies beyond?

What lies beyond the wall and beneath the water; beyond the seas and above the skies; beyond the beliefs and behind the lies-the truths, inside our thoughts, behind our actions, and besides our needs?
The barriers are the thin lines between who we might have been – who we are – who we could be! It defines us in the most variable way. And what defines us more are the barriers we think, mean, and dare to break.

To break – we must see!
They are the more distant barriers that we see without a question – the narrow minded people, our corrupted nation, increasing population, poverty, grief and so on. No doubt many brave hearts set a sail to break those barriers – to nations far off and to people next door – thinking (hoping too!) that they would someday change the face of this earth.

This is a question to the brave sailors and all of us out there – When is it that you can truly break those barriers on your route to freedom? Start by breaking the little barriers in ourselves – in our soul, mind, and vision.

Dare to look beyond. Dare to break. Dare to change!
